Freyr
Music, sound and code were all created from scratch. Game is created in Unity.
Freyr is a simulation game, where you take on the mantle of a lone activist fighting off greedy corporations, in order to restore a forest.
We wanted to make a game where the player can feel the impact of their actions. From little things such as how getting more followers will get more donations, which in turn will help better the place as the player will be able to afford new plants, trees and more. We made sure that each resource depends on each other and will be useful in some way. There's also a lot of randomness in the game, no two playthroughs will ever be the same, which will help encourage replayability. We hope that this game will teach others that even the smallest action can bring about a huge and gradual impact on the environment.
Your actions impact the world around you.
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
It is never too late to start doing your part for the environment!
Created as part of Taikai Gamejam, where the theme was to create a game surrounding the United Nation's Sustainable Development goals.

Cute little game!
I'm a little unsure about how the mechanics work and what I'm supposed to do to be successful. Some parts might need a bit more explanation to be clear.
